You can’t predict student crises. So, the next best thing is to be prepared for them. This session will discuss key players in your "Crisis Toolkit," focusing on collaboration. We’ll walk through building a Crisis Toolkit for international students, enabling you to respond efficiently to the unexpected. International student advisors and health insurance experts will address common crises faced by international students, leaving you with a clear path to creating your own Crisis Toolkit for your office and campus.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key players in crisis management on your campus.
  • Define a “crisis toolkit” for international students and know the steps involved to put one together.
  • Be able to recognize your own (the advisor’s) role in international student crisis on your specific campus and where it fits in with other resources and health insurance.
