Empowering Students to Share & Create: Student Driven Social Media

Presentation Description:

Experiential Global Learning (EGL) is thrilled to introduce the Global Curators program, an innovative scholarship opportunity aimed at empowering students to share their study abroad experiences through social media. In this session, we will present the Global Curators program, which offers students a scholarship to be applied towards their UConn fee bill in exchange for the completion of five distinct social media projects. Through this scholarship, students not only receive financial support but also gain valuable skills in digital storytelling and cultural exchange.

Learning Objectives:

  • During my presentation attendees will gain insights into the potential impact of student-driven social media in experiential learning.
  • During my presentation, attendees will acquire practical strategies for designing and implementing similar initiatives to empower students and enhance their study abroad experiences.
  • After my presentation, attendees will feel inspired and equipped to leverage the power of social media to amplify student voices and promote cross-cultural understanding within their institutions.
