Speaker BiographyMaura Cassells, MSc Organisational Leadership in Education; BA Art History. Maura traveled to Denmark in high school, studied abroad in Russia, and spent time in Germany as an undergraduate. Maura completed her master’s degree at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, and has had opportunities to work in Germany, Austria, and Scotland. Maura has worked in international education since 2005, having been inspired to enter the field after her own time spent abroad. She started her professional career working at the Institute of International Education in New York, spending much of that time working with fellowship recipients sponsored through the prestigious Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program. In 2013, Maura’s shared loves of working with students and building strong relationships with institutional partners brought her to AIFS and later to API. Maura loves that this role on the University Relations team provides ample opportunities to help others, and solve problems creatively every day.
