Nicholas Gareca (he/him/él/-o, Academic Specialist in the American Language and Culture Institute, Clark University) grew up Allentown, Pennsylvania in an Argentine-American family. Nico studied English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese at Temple University. He studied abroad at Xiamen University, recieved a Fulbright ETA Grant in Taiwan, completed a Masters of Education at the University of Minnesota, and taught Spanish and ESL in a variety of roles. Nico is the NAFSA State Representative for Central and Western Massachusetts, and is a founding member of the Wolf Tree Cooperative. He enjoys running, baking sourdough bread, and playing music at the Foster Farmers Market.
