Member Interest Group Open Meeting - Foreign-Born International Educator

Presentation Description:

The Foreign-Born International Educators (FBIE) was created as one of the member interest groups of NAFSA in 2003.  The group's missions are [1] to advocate for policy and regulation changes to remove obstacles for current and future foreign-born international education professionals, [2] to serve and support foreign-born international educators' professional entry and development, and [3] to promote foreign-born standpoints and perspectives to enrich NAFSA programs and services.

Learning Objectives:

  • Host a networking opportunity for foreign-born international educators (in any international education field).
  • Discuss and share the participants' common interests, which we may possibly incorporate into future presentation proposals or research opportunities.
  • Seek ideas to start a mentor-mentee program among the FBIE members.
