Presentation Description:

Building on the work of the 2023 Region XI DEI Roundtable, the subsequent monthly DEI Community Conversations that emerged, and the implementation of the region’s new Diversity and Access Representative Leadership position, this roundtable is a space for those interested in supporting, exploring, and collaborating on DEI efforts within the field of International Education at the regional level. Whether you have been engaged in these efforts and have experience to share or wish to begin your efforts at this roundtable, there is space for everyone.

Learning Objectives:

  • Community Building: Attendees will work together to build community that centers DEI work in International Education spaces
  • Engagement in facilitated conversation: Attendees will engage in facilitated critical conversations around regional DEI initiative success, barriers, and challenges
  • Navigating a path forward: Attendees will leave with action steps for moving forward as a community and with regional connections and support
