Everything You Didn't Have Time To Read: IE Research Findings

Presentation Description: Our session presents findings from five articles on international student services and five articles on education abroad from recent literature. The goal is to expose practitioners to scholarship that they might not have had time to locate or read and to consider new ideas in the field. We will also incorporate an interactive element in the form of breakout groups to discuss certain articles broken down along thematic or international education roles.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will come away with updated knowledge about select international education scholarship from the last few years.
  • Attendees will be inspired to explore some of the presented literature, and other research, on their own and to use that research in their own work.
  • Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss with others how this research might be applicable to their own work as international education practitioners.
