Presentation Description:

As higher education's value is questioned and demand for outcomes rises, study abroad can shine if offices effectively assess and highlight student experiences. This session empowers EA professionals to refocus on assessment as a key component of higher education. It will provide tools to enhance assessment techniques and examples of handling assessment at different stages of study abroad. Standards for data gathering and analysis pre-, during, and post-program will be discussed, along with strategies for using data at each stage.

Learning Objectives:

  • During our presentation, attendees will feel empowered to create effective surveys to assess the student experience throughout the study abroad process.
  • During our presentations, attendees will gain understanding of how assessment practices integrate into EA office workloads, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness
  • During our presentation, attendees will learn to identify campus partners for assessment tool development and enhance communication strategies to evaluate, interpret, and share survey data proficiency.
