Ruby Cheng

Yanjie (Ruby) Cheng is the inaugural Assistant Director of the Global Brown Center for International Students (GBC). She develops and assesses programming that fosters belonging for Brown's international community and leads international orientation and the International Mentoring Program (IMP). Ruby holds a doctorate in Leadership for Educational Equity from the University of Colorado Denver and has over ten years of experience advocating for international students. Her research focuses on their acculturation and sense of belonging, and she has presented at various international conferences and published advocacy articles.
